There are so many different ovens on the market. I don't believe in buying the largest, most expensive machine in the store. In essence, a microwave is nothing more than a fancy, very fast steam oven. They're wonderful for steaming vegetables, thawing, and reheating leftovers. But they have a limited range of duties in a kitchen and a good cook can turn out wonderful meals without a microwave. I leave it to you to decide.
